The Griswold Library is located on the campus of Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT. It was completed in 1970, at a cost of $1.9 million dollars. The John A. Russell Corporation of Rutland, VT, served as lead contractor for the project. The building stands on 120 pilings driven 86 to 90 feet into the ground.

In 2009, the Griswold Library is in excellent condition, with all of its original modernist furnishings intact. It is a wonderful time capsule of 1970s-era arcitecture and design.
