Parker Hirtle (b.1925) worked in Vermont for only five years, spending one year with Dan Kiley in Charlotte and four years with Freeman French Freeman in Burlington. Hirtle was born in LaHave, Nova Scotia, and grew up in Massachusetts. He studied architecture at M.I.T. and became a registered architect while working for Freeman French Freeman. Hirtle then left Vermont and returned to Massachusetts to work for Bolt Beranek and Newman (BBN), an acoustical consulting firm in Boston. |
