The Hopwood House, built in 1955, is a well-preserved example of a Techbuilt house. It was owned in the mid-1960s by Burlington architect Bill Truex. While studying at the Harvard
Graduate School of Design in the late 1950s and early 1960s, Truex worked on a construction team that built half-a-dozen Techbuilt houses in Cape Ann, MA.
